One of the ways to invite friends and relatives is to send out invitations. You can do this is as many different ways as you have imagination to do but one of the most commonly used is the very popular baby shower footprint invitation. Not only is it a cute and unique (by having the unique baby footprint on it) but it is also a great way to celebrate the arrival of the new little being that is now a part of the family.
Normally it takes some effort to plan a party and this is no exception. It is always a good idea to try to plan ahead so you don't see to many surprises that can get you off course. First of you owe it to your guests to let them know well in advance that you are having the baby shower so that they are able to clear their calendars and thereby attend the shower party. Secondly you will give yourself a lot more time to have all the events and the food etc. planned it you start the planning process early on.
If you, like many, are a fan of the baby footprint idea you can reuse it for most of your decoration. You guest will think that it is a great idea that the party decoration and the invitation that they received go hand in hand. What you can do is play around with the colors of the decorations. Normally a girl would require pink and a boy would require blur but it is up to your imagination to come up with the perfect colors for the baby.
As an extra touch you can arrange flower decorations in the same colors as you have chosen. That would really perfect the setup and I am positive that it would result in a lot of positive comments from your friends and relatives.
Now for the decoration and the invitations you can go for the easy solution and that is to buy the commercially produces invitations and table decorations. I am not saying that is the wrong way to do it because there are many great standard products out there and you can get most of them at a fair price. If you want your baby shower to be really special you will need to do much of the work yourself. This requires time, money, imagination and skills but if you got them make sure to use them.
Some simple but unique suggestions for your invitations would be to a) use a digital picture of your baby's foot and put it on the cover of the invitation. b) Draw a footprint outline of your baby's foot on either the actual invitation or maybe on a colored piece of paper that could be cut and pasted into the invitation - make sure to always write as readable as possible. If your handwriting needs improving then use a computer instead.
When you have decided what solution to use all you will need is some action. Get those invitations out, start preparing for any decoration you need to do yourself and go shop for the remaining. Don't leave anything to coincidence.
