The Timeless Charm of Winnie the Pooh Toys by Morgan Hamilton

Since the time I brought my daughter home from the hospital, our entire house has been taken over by Winnie the Pooh toys. Needless to say, the decor in her bedroom and all her toys are related to Winnie the Pooh. I truly began to understand exactly how many Winnie the Pooh toys exist on the day that I went to Toys R Us to sign up for the baby registry.

In this day and age, Winnie the Pooh has taken over everything from bibs to pacifiers, and every toy and book imaginable. A shopper can spend hours just picking and choosing between all of the adorable baby items out there. I managed to choose affordable items, although the prices on some of those items almost sent me into labor.

My mother kept reminding me that not everything I have to purchase had to have a Pooh theme. I tried to keep that in mind, but Pooh seemed to have a mind of his own. Every time I brought a new baby item home, my husband would usually roll his eyes. Of course, I had to choose between all of the various types of toys that exist. I have to choose among educational toys, entertaining toys, teething toys, and noisy toys. Luckily, Winnie the Pooh toys could fit into every category. I purchase most of our baby items from Toys R Us and Babies R Us. I'm a sucker when it comes to baby shopping, even though I try to always find a good deal.

A week ago, I decided that my baby would need some fluffy stuffed animals to snuggle at night. As a result, I dragged my husband to the mall one evening for the sole purpose of checking out The Disney Store. I was very delighted when I discovered that The Disney Store was filled with Winnie the Pooh toys. I was entranced by the Winnie the Pooh toys, even though they had tons of other themes and characters as well.

One of the most wonderful things I have ever done since my daughter's birth was to decorate her room. I tried to be as creative as possible and yet keep her interests in mind. It was easy for me to make some decisions for her because she was entirely too little to really form her own interests. You can be sure that the theme of her room was Winnie the Pooh. Her numerous Winnie the Pooh toys are all precariously arranged on her shelves, ready to go off on an adventure with her.
